Bubble Rumble is a game on the gno.land blockchain with a live globe, a public chat and voice rooms. This page says what the site itself collects, what it keeps, and who else is involved. There are no accounts and no passwords.
What the site collects
- Profile picture. If you set one (⚙ or the + menu), the server keeps a 96-pixel square of it for up to 180 days under a short id, and the id rides with every line this browser posts, so your lines are recognisable across days in a way the daily tag alone is not. Remove it in ⚙ and your next lines carry nothing; the owner can remove any picture.
- Share cards. If you press the share arrow, the page draws a picture of the globe as it is — without chat text or anybody's pin — and the server keeps that picture for 30 days under a short link, together with a keyed hash of your connection (so the owner can remove every card from one address if it is abused) and your wallet address if one is connected, so people who follow the link count as your invitees. Arrivals through the link are counted by the link's identifier. The operator can relate that hash to a connection.
- Your connection. Like every web server, ours sees your IP address. The site uses it for two things: to place you on the globe by country, and sometimes city, using a copy of the DB-IP location file on our own server (no lookup service is called), and to apply per-connection limits in the chat. Nothing finer than that ever leaves the server: the location file is rounded to quarter-degree cells (about 25 km across) as it loads, and every position the site shows or answers with — the dots, a chat line's place, the where lookup — is that cell, which is the city, never a street. The web server's access logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested, are rotated daily and kept for 14 days.
- Presence. While the page is open it reports that someone is here, with the approximate position derived from your IP. Presence data lives within the day; nothing links one day to the next.
- Chat. What you post: the name you type (unverified), the text, and, for voice messages, the recorded clip of up to fifteen seconds, kept as the bytes your browser sent. A public room keeps its last 300 messages; when a message leaves the log its clip is deleted with it. You can delete your own line for fifteen minutes after posting. Beside your name the chat shows a short tag derived from your connection; it changes daily so two anonymous people can be told apart today and nothing links days. Private rooms work the same way and are reachable only by their link.
- Voice chat. Live audio, and video if you turn your camera on, is relayed through our server to the other people in the room. It is not recorded or stored. Your microphone level is measured in your own browser to show who is speaking.
- Your wallet. If you connect the Adena wallet, the page reads your public address to show your bids, earnings and shots. Bids are transactions you sign yourself; they are public on the gno.land blockchain and stay there permanently. The site never sees your keys.
- Usage counts. The page sends the site a small first-party event when you arrive, when you view a bubble, and at a few other steps (with the page path, the referring site, and any campaign tag in the link). These are grouped by a random identifier stored in your browser that changes every day, so they count visits without following a person across days. Summaries are kept for up to 90 days. No cookies are used for this.
- Preferences. Switches you set (wind, labels, the sun view, autoplay, the bell, your chosen name) are stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us as such.
- Profile reports. If you press "profile 30 s" in the settings panel, your browser measures its own performance for thirty seconds and sends the numbers (frame timing, memory, screen size, browser version) to help us diagnose slowness. Nothing is sent unless you press it.
Who else is involved
- Anthropic. Chat lines are sent to Anthropic's API to show an English translation beside a message written in another language, and the room's recent lines are sent when the site's assistant ("clerk") is asked a question so it can answer. Anthropic processes this text under its own terms. The lines go with the names they were posted under, and a private room's name goes along when its assistant is asked; nothing else about you does.
- gno.land. The page reads game state from public gno.land RPC nodes and broadcasts the transactions you sign through them. Those nodes see your IP address and your transactions like any blockchain node does.
- Coinzilla. Advertisements on the site are served by Coinzilla. Coinzilla may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure and target ads, under Coinzilla's privacy policy. We do not pass them your chat, wallet or presence data.
- Public data feeds. The globe's sun images, winds, prices and the space station's position are fetched by our server from public sources (NASA, NOAA, exchanges) and served to you; none of your data goes to those sources.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no email addresses, no passwords.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with anyone for their own use.
- No advertising or analytics cookies of our own. The only third-party cookies are those the ad network may set.
Your choices
- Post as "anon" or any name you like; the tag beside it is all the site can connect to you, and it changes daily.
- Delete your own chat lines for fifteen minutes after posting, or use
/delete for your newest line.
- Leave voice chat at any time; nothing of it is kept.
- Block third-party cookies in your browser to limit what the ad network can set.
- Clear your browser's local storage to reset your preferences and daily identifiers.
Changes and contact
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions and requests about your data: say so in the site's public chat, which the operator reads daily.
